Bubbles Recipe

Bubbles Recipe

Did you know you can make homemade bubbles in seconds, using ingredients you already have in your kitchen?  With this super easy recipe you and your kiddos can have bubbles whenever you please.  How fun!

Bubbles (Time: 2 minutes)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup dish soap
  • 2 cups water

Supplies:

  • 16 oz (or bigger) container

Directions:

  • Fill container with water
  • Add liquid detergent and mix gently

Use: The same way you would normal bubbles

Note:

  • Supposedly Dawn and Joy (regular formula) dishwashing soaps make better bubbles than others.  I just use whatever is at the sink and they’ve all worked.  If you find a brand that works particularly well (or not) – let me know!
  • This recipe doesn’t have to be exact.  If you have hard water, add a little extra soap.  If your water is soft you may need less.
  • If you make it a day ahead of time, the bubbles tend to be better.  Like so many things, it gets better with age:)
