Microdermabrasion Recipe

This skin polishing technique is all the rage at high end spas and salons.  But did you know that you can do your own skin smoothing microdermabrasion at home for just pennies?  This gentle, effective exfoliant will slough away dead skin and leave you glowing!

Do It Yourself Microdermabrasion (Time to make: 2 minutes)

  • 1 Tablespoons baking soda
  • 1-2 teaspoons water
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Mix the baking soda and water to form a watery paste.
  • Use your fingers to gently massage the mixture onto your face and neck.
  • Small circular motions work well – take your time and let the baking soda work wonders!
  • Microdermabrasion is not just for your face.  Baking soda can also be used to smooth the rough skin on your body.  Before getting out of the shower or bath rub baking soda on your rough feet or elbows for a skin smoothing treat.
  • For best results exfoliate twice a week (or as needed)
